Can you believe it's been a year?!?!

We've been engaged for a year!!!! Last night was our engagement anniversary, so we decided to celebrate in the same way that we did last year....with fondue! It was so much fun, but of course, we had WAY too much food! We decided to make this a tradition, and figure that by the time we have our 20th engagement anniversary, we'll know exactly how much food we need! Until then, though, we'll just have to deal with the TONS of leftovers!! The year has gone so fast, and we know that this next year will fly by also! We were talking about wedding plans over dinner, and are really getting excited for the big day! Less than 8 months!!!



And of course, we couldn't leave Kowe out!! Kowe got Josh a dog treat cookbook for Christmas, so we decided that it was an occasion for her to have something special too! These are her Honey Nut Peanut Butter bars! She loved them. In fact, she got lots of treats last night, as I kept dropping this or that...and she was quick to find it. She got a piece of bread, a marshmallow, and a couple of her treats. When she went to bed last night, she was belly up, and we figured it was because she was so stuffed that she couldn't lay on her belly!!

Anyway, it was a wonderful night, and we can't wait till next year when we'll do it all over again!!

Kowe's New Best Friend!!

Tonight, Jess and I were finally able to hang out!! She hasn't even had a chance to see the house yet! We've all been so busy, but finally got time tonight! We ate pizza and had a really great time!

Kowe loves her Auntie Jessi so much!! These are some hillarious pics of her laying on Jess. She'd follow her around and of course, Jess got the obligatory chewing of the socks, which means that Kowe really loves you!


Then we got mean, and pulled her hood over her eyes. She scoots backward. So funny!


Now Kowe is just lounging around, like she's sad. She misses her already!!

What a Weekend!!

It's been a bit since our last post, but we had a really busy and full weekend. Friday, I joined a gym (well, just the Y) and worked out in the morning, and then lounged for the rest of the day. Then, that night we went to some friends' and played poker and just visited. It was really fun, but Josh was really tired because he had inventory that morning.

Saturday, my sister, cousin and I went dress shopping!! I found my dress!!!! Yipee! Here is a funny pic of me getting ready to try on some dresses!








Then, that night, we went to Shell & Dan's to visit with them and Bub & Ryan. Here are some pics from that night. Bub & Ryan just had a little baby boy, Parker, back in December. He's getting so big!! There is a pic of him when he was first born, and then some from this weekend. It's crazy how quickly they grow!! Anyway, it was a fun night, and we certainly don't get enough time to spend with them.

Tried on Wedding Dresses!!!

Well, I have been dragging my feet on it, but I finally went and tried some dresses on today. I decided I wanted to go by myself for the first time, just so I could see what I do and don't like without outside influences. I'm glad I did, but now I'm excited to go back with some company and get some opinions! I found several that I loved, and one in particular!! My sister and cousin and I will be going on Saturday so they can help me decide! It was way easier that I had imagined it would be!

Tonight, Josh is working late, so I went to a Silpada party and then came home to play with the pup. She's felt a little neglected this week, so I gave her some extra rounds of fetch. Now she's ready to cuddle and take a nap...which sounds pretty good to me! We've got a pretty full weekend planned, and since Josh has inventory tomorrow, I know that he's going to be ready to relax!!

I'm going to try the Sangria recipe that Jeremy & Lisa gave to Patty. We'll see how we like it! I hope it turns out well!! Have a great weekend everyone!!

"Wild Wednesday"

We've decided in the office, that we need to start a weekly night for us to go out and unwind. Tonight was our first attempt, and it was quite fun!! We had Margarita Night at Pepe's and had some really good food! Here are some (very blurry) pics! It looks as though someone was a little tipsy while taking the pics, but it really wasn't so! They just turned out a little blurry! I had several big margaritas (so I did get a little tipsy....), and Josh just had one (his was watermelon, which I found quite comical). Yummy! Looking forward to next week!

Movie Reviews...

Well...movie night is coming to a quick end. We're beat!! And full!

Skeleton Key wasn't at all what I thought it would be. Good, not great. It was very different, and I am not the least big spooked. Josh fell asleep if that tells you anything...though he was really tired.

The 40-Year-Old Virgin was hilarious! Gag reels were great, and Josh laughed the entire time. Pretty darn funny! Seemed really long, but it was great, nonetheless!

Now we're off to bed. We're both in the middle of really good books!! And Kowe's ready for bed!! All in all, it was a fun night, and it's good to relax and laugh!

Movie Night @ Our House!!

We're having movie night tonight! We have Skeleton Key and The 40 Year Old Virgin to watch. We probably won't have another night this week to watch them, so we're going to have a full blown movie night with lots of munchies..sans the popcorn due to my braces! We may take a break to watch the funnies on American Idol, but we'll see. Last season, we were so addicted to AI, that we felt like slaves! We would rush home to see it! But we decided this season, we're not going to let it run our lives...we're just going to DVR it and skip all the Ryan Seacrest parts..

So it's Skeleton Key first, that way if we get too scared, we can recover with the funny movie!! I've been wanting to see it, but it's a bit of a double edged sword, because I love to watch scary movies, but regret it for days! Josh isn't particularly excited for it, but he's looking forward to the 40 Year Old Virgin. Maybe we'll post some pictures in a few days if we take any tonight. I'll post our reviews in a bit...

Kowe lost her big teeth!!

Well, after much chewing and lots of little teeth, Kowe just today lost two of her really big teeth. I vacuumed the living room, and when I came back in the room, there were two little things in the middle of the floor. I thought, "How the heck could I have missed those?!?" I thought I might be going nuts, but when I picked the one up, it was her tooth!!! She's getting so big, but hopefully once she loses all of them, maybe the chewing will subside a bit. Thankfully, she's really good about chewing on just her toys and doesn't venture into our furniture or our shoes (except when we're wearing them.) Now she's all tuckered out!! She's sleeping on dad's feet.

As for the rest of the day, we have been cleaning and watching Entourage on and off all day. I woke up to a delicious smell, and when I got down to the kitchen, Josh had trays all set to bring me breakfast in bed!! What a sweetie!! We're enjoying the day off, and plan on watching the Golden Globes tonight! Sometimes it's just nice to lounge all day in your jammies!

Lazy Weekend!

We haven't had much of a weekend. The bridal affair was this weekend, so I spent Saturday at that, working, and then today, I went as a bride. I found several videographers, which is the last vendor that we need to book. And I got lots of information about honeymoons, which is for Josh. He's in charge of that area, but I might have to light a fire under his hiney!


Last night, while Josh was working, I had dinner and did some shopping with my sister and Griffin. He's getting so big, and has such an adorable personality! I especially love that he only wanted me to hold him while we waited for our table. Aunties have the best job in the world...we spoil and spoil, and then get to take them home!!

Here are some pics of Griff. One is of him and Kowe sleeping. He came over one night, and he was crashed, but Kowe was worried about him, and kept getting up any time he'd make a little noise. Finally, she tuckered out too, and she decided to sleep right by him in case he needed her. The other is just a gorgeous pic of him. He's so cute!!


Today, we're relaxing and watching the game, and then Josh has to work this evening. I don't have to work tomorrow due to Martin Luther King, Jr. day, so I've got a lot of projects to get started on! With weddings on the brain, I'm getting started on some scrapbooking and some "do it yourself" projects for the wedding. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!


Here are some pictures of us during our ski trip earlier this month. We went to Boyne Mountain, Michigan and had a lot of fun, but didn't actually ski! We tubed, and relaxed!! It was great. My sister and I enjoyed a day at the Solace Spa, where she got a "Needy Mommy" massage for pregnant women, and I got a Hotty Totty massage and mud wrap! We were useless for the rest of the day!!! Josh and I took a ride on a horse drawn wagon, and you can see a pic of me and one of the horses. You can also see the pic of us in our matching ski pjs that Ron & Patty got us for Christmas. We looked so cute!!!

Kowe Sue Wright!!

This is Kowe. She is a gorgeous little Lhasa Apso who joined the family this past September.

Kowe is "ewok" spelled backward, as she often looks like a little one.

She is such an important part of our family, and we don't know what our lives would be like without her. She is a bit of a daddy's girl, but when she wants to cuddle, she knows how to find her mommy! Kowe enjoys chewing on our pantlegs (thanks to Gamma and Papa) and she loves to bark at random noises or herself in the sliding glass door! She truly could not be sweeter, and you are sure to see lots of pics of her on here, as she is our big baby!!

And here is a picture of our new house. We built it this past year, and closed on it on September 30. We absolutely love everything about it! Our first family Christmas in our new house was very special indeed! We couldn't be happier, and are looking forward to the spring and summer when we can do some gardening and work in the yard.
