Dog pics & pics from Jeremy & Lisa's trip home to come...

We don't have them downloaded yet.

Pumpkin Patch with the Boys

We decided to take the boys to a huge pumpkin patch near Fowler, but on the day that we got all ready to go, they were closed. (Aargh!) So we decided, instead, to go to one that is put on by a church here in town.
But first, we had to pick up the dogs from the groomer. Here's Kowe making herself comfy on Griff's lap.And Luke, scared probably. But then Luke went and laid down between Griff & Linc. It was so cute. But Kowe could have none of that...she needed to be in the middle. So Luke got bumped.Linc LOVED the pumpkins. He kept picking them up and taking them to different spots. He didn't want to leave!Griff was more into the big ones! Then we went to our neighborhood park. Notice Linc's french fry......and he's still got it!

Tailgating

We made it to a couple of games this year, at least to tailgate. By this game, we'd learned our lesson and we got down to business with the food. The third time's a charm!

Cornhole!Josh doing what he does best...
YUM! We did well, huh?! There were even guys from another car coming to munch.
Then all that food got Laura and I all tuckered out...so the guys decided pictures were in order...

Tour of Terror

The Civic Theater of Lafayette puts on a walking Tour of Terror around Halloween every year and we went this year...it was really fun! We got to go on a tour of places where there were robberies, murders, suicides, fires, deaths, etc., and we got to hear the true stories as we walked through downtown. Highly suggested for anyone from around here. It's interesting to hear some of the history.

Happy Anniversary to us!

Yahoo for us for making it to a year! Already!! This is a duplicate of the top layer of our wedding cake that we ate as good luck on our anniversary. It was just as good after being frozen for a year as it was at the reception!

Lots of UPDATES!

Here are a couple pics from our game night a few months back. Vajunka kicks everything off well. Notice Eric's apprehension...but like everyone, he loved it by the end of the night!
And I love when the guys get drunk and I can beat them at Guitar Hero. (Except Eric who is too good.)

Giving Thanks

So in addition to giving thanks for the obvious things...health, wealth (or...maybe it's better to say NOT living paycheck to paycheck), and happiness, we thought we'd make a list of some things that we're especially thankful for this year. So here goes (in no particular order):

  • One year of marriage down! And we both agree that it was much easier than many people say the first year is supposed to be. So that's a good sign...
  • We got to see Jeremy & Lisa twice this year!
  • We added Luke to the family and he's such a sweetie, despite the fact that he's quite scared of absolutely everything. But he's been a great addition.
  • We were lucky to be able to travel quite a bit this past year. Hawaii, Boston, Chicago, Gatlinberg and a few road trips in between. Not too shabby! We had such a great time this year!
  • I got my dream job! And it's turning out to be just as great as I always imagined it would be!
  • I'm sure the list could go on for days. Family and friends are amazing and we live very blessed lives.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! We hope you all have as much to be thankful for this year as we do!

an addition to the Wright household...

We would like you to meet Luke!We have been watching the papers for the past few months to see if there are ever any Lhasa Apsos in there, and this weekend we called about one! We went and met him last night and decided to give it a try. As you know, Kowe can be a very sassy and even scrappy girl, so we were nervous about how she would react.
He is 16 months old and his name was Tashi, but we didn't love that name, especially because it sounds like a girl name, so we decided to call him Luke. He already responds to Luke, so it's no problem at all. He's definitely rocking a mullet right now, but we're going to let his hair grow out like Kowe's is and they actually look like they could be brother and sister, despite the fact that Luke is much longer and bigger than our little priss. But he's absolutely the sweetest thing and he listens SO well...much better than Kowe! He's getting neutered in the morning, so hopefully that will help with the (funny) humping problem that he has. (And I say funny because he seems to like his daddy and his sister! I guess maybe it comes with the mullett territory...) Wish us luck! So far, they get along really well. They love to play and Kowe is definitely getting used to not having 100% of our attention, but she's surprisingly good with him.
He's not a barker at all (which we love!...maybe he'll calm her barking down a little!) but he does wimper sometimes, but Kowe is really sweet when he does. She's very cautious and concerned. Hopefully these are signs of good things to come for when we ever get a baby in this house! Anyway, enjoy the pics, as usual, many more to come...

Let's make a mess with our toys!!!Business in the front...party on the sides!
