Chicago Chocolate Tour

YUMM!!! Here are a couple of pictures from our Chicago Chocolate Tour. Josh surprised me with this for my birthday and he had been keeping it a secret since last Christmas!! Josh doesn't looove chocolate like I do...and he doesn't do caffeine...so he was really feeling it at the end of this tour!

This picture is of us at our favorite store, Teuscher Chocolates, where we got to try the most amazing champagne truffles EVER! They are made with Dom Perignon and they seriously melt in your mouth. Sooo good. Everything there is actually sent in from Switzerland...even down to the flowers you see on the wall and the candy boxes. Here we are in front of the chocolate wall at Lindt.

And here is a picture of us at Sarah's Candies where we got to go in the back room and see where the chocolate was made. She had the most adorable store.

We were also introduced to this great little tea shop called Argo, where we got a chocolate croissant and some chocolate mint hot tea. It's just a block back from the Hershey's shop where we had the best hot chocolate ever, but we decided that this winter, we're heading back to Argo when we need warmed up!

Unfortunately, our computer putzed out as I was uploading pictures for tons of fun posts...pictures from my Papaw's 70th birthday party, pictures of our garden, and pictures from our Chicago trip (which included our chocolate tour pics as well as the rooftop garden on our hotel, next door to the John Hancock building--awesome pictures--and the Cubs game)...YEP...all...*poof*...lost! So this is all we've got. But take our word for it...we had an excellent time in Chicago!
