Our Little Pumpkin at the Patch

Since I'm pretty far behind, I decided it was time to just start posting up-to-date posts and I can go back and fill in the summer months as I get a chance. Otherwise, I fear I'll be behind forever!!

We were so excited to take Wren to the pumpkin patch last weekend. We went to Millenium Farms and though it was pretty cold in the morning, it was such a fun day.

Oink! Oink!

Wren absolutely loves animals. She gets such a kick out of watching them (as you'll see in the video below) and wants to get them soo bad! Most of her books have a Mama animal and a Baby animal. She does a pretty good job of pointing the different animals out in her books, and she can usually find the Mama and the Baby. This was fun to put what we talk about in all of her books into real life. These sheep had new babies, so we were talking about the mama sheep and the baby sheep.
Then we got to ride a pony! I was afraid that Wren might be scared or kind of freak out when it started moving, but she loved it! She talked and yelled the entire time. Meanwhile, I tried to keep up running around the circle while holding onto her. And yes, I may have worn heels to the pumpkin patch. What's a girl to do!?
Isn't this cute?!

We took a tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch and Wren looked high and low for the best pumpkins.

Hmmmm. Which should I choose?
Daddy helped her do the heavy lifting.
Here she is with her loot:
You'll note the big hunk of mud on her cheek. Yep, all that pumpkin picking got her a little hungry so she decided to snack on some mud. Like, chunks of mud. Not just a little smear, like big hunks that required chewing. Complete with a little burp at the end of her meal.

She was directing the tractor driver where to go. Always in charge.
After a quick outfit change, she picked out some Wren-sized pumpkins.
And directed Mommy where to put them.
She took a ride in the wagon and listened to some music. If you watch closely in the video below, you'll see her dance just a smidge. Girl has got some moves, I tell ya! She loves to dance and usually it only takes a few notes before she starts busting out her moves. In the video, you can see that she hears the music and starts to dance, but the guy was just doing his sound check so it ended quickly. I need to catch it soon because it's adorable!
Finally, she told Daddy which way to get to the car. She was tuckered out!!
It was a perfect fall day!
