never enough cute Kowe pictures

For some reason, Kowe is now all about her daddy. She's not my baby anymore. :(
...unless she wants her belly rubbed...or food...then she's anyone's dog!
...or sometimes when she's wanting to sleep...then she likes to cuddle with me...
...but mostly she likes to hog the entire bed like this...
...and she always falls asleep on one of our pillows. I actually managed to get this picture without waking her or Josh up. Is that not the cutest thing you've ever seen?? I swear she thinks she's a person!

Exciting News!

Josh was promoted this week!!! He is now that Purse Ops Manager for Kohl's. It's basically the position in the store that is in charge of the personnel (and all that comes with that, like hiring, scheduling, reviews etc.), the cash office, credit and best of all, it pretty much gets him off of the sales floor! He's excited for the position and all that will come with it, so I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS!!! He deserves it and it was actually very telling that he was approached about it before he even inquired...just goes to show you how amazing he is! :) He would never toot his own horn, so I had to do it for him!

Happy New Year!!!

This year, for New Year's, we decided to make a trip back to Cracker's Comedy Club in Indy. We went with Shell and Dan, and just two years ago, we rang in 2005 at this same place. My, how things have changed! Here is a picture that Shell took in pretty much the same exact place 2 years ago... And here we were this year...Shell and DannyI told Josh that since this would probably (hopefully) be the last big night out that I get before we get pregnant, I was going to have FUN! And I did. Plus, Josh had to work at 6am this morning, so he wasn't planning on drinking, so it worked out that Shell and I could actually drink together! It didn't take much...Shell and Dan right before the midnight champagne toastAll of us right after ringing in the New YearAnd we all planned on getting Hot Dog Man hotdogs afterward, but somehow Dan was the only one still in the mood...Josh and I leaving the club....welcome 2007!!!!

We're so excited for 2007! It is looking to be a fabulous year for us, with some exciting trips planned and with hopefully being able to welcome a new member to the family in the year to come. We're thankful for our friends and family and we look forward to an amazing year to top 2006! We've got our resolutions all set, so here's hoping we keep them!!

Christmas Continued...

After we opened gifts at home, we headed to Josh's parents where we had an outstanding lunch and opened presents! It was so much fun and we all got some surprises...we definitely got spoiled!!!!

Next, we headed to my grandparents' for the Bandy family's Christmas...there were LOTS of people!

Christmas all around!!

What a wonderful Christmas weekend!!! We hope everyone had as good of a weekend as we did, full of joy and happy times with your families. We started our weekend out on Friday by having dinner with Josh's parents and then driving all over Lafayette to look at Christmas lights. It was so much fun. The grand finale was when we went to a house where you tune into a radio station and their entire house goes to the beat of the Christmas music. It was impressive to say the least! Very cool and it got us all in the spirit I think! Their neighbor even came out and his dog had twinkling lights around it's neck! We didn't get any pictures of the house, regrettably.

We always spend Christmas Eve with Shell and her family, and this year I decided that I was going to cook! Usually Josh would do the cooking, but he's been working and had to work on Christmas Eve, while I did not, so I decided to try to be a wife and cook. It actually turned out alright!!! I made a ham (and even basted it every 10 minutes!) and really good mashed potatoes that I then baked, and some green beans and corn and rolls. And we had wine and Shell got tipsy before we went to church! Anyway, we had a lovely time. Here are some pics of dinner...

And then the guys cleaned up! Not particularly unusual to see Josh in there, but Danny on the other hand!...Then we headed off to church and it was a pretty good service. Josh actually really enjoyed it and he sang when we lit the candles and sang "Silent Night" at the end. He must've been getting in the Christmas spirit big time to have sung and it was really cute.

Merry Christmas!!!

We want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!! We're really excited to get to spend some time with family and just relax. Josh has been working really hard and is in need of some good old R&R!! The holiday seemed to come so fast for us, we didn't even send out Christmas cards! But we are so thankful for the friends and family that we have and we want to wish you all the happiest, tastiest, and most fun-filled Christmas ever!! God Bless.

Holiday Time...

We put up our Christmas tree a while back, but we just this weekend put the ornaments on and decorated the house. Here is one picture of the tree with the newly arranged living room, which we actually really like. We're going to take some more pics and we'll post them later. Notice Kowe in the sweatshirt that she has from last year. It's a size S and she is now a medium, so we were singing the fat dog in a little suit song to her. You can see how utterly enthused she is to be wearing the thing...
And I came upon this when going through some pictures and I had to post it. This is one year ago around Thanksgiving time. She's grown so much!! How adorable is she in her little bitty sweater trying to eat a piece of big dog food. She couldn't even chomp the whole thing!
She needs a brother!!
